Lauryn Mackenzie Bio
Lauryn is a recently graduated student from Vancouver Island University with a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media Studies with a minor in Creative Writing. She studied videography, audio production, pop culture, multi-media, critical thinking, non-fiction and fiction writing, editing, and journalism. She started school wanting to work beside the scenes in the publishing world but fell in love with journalism and audio production.
Since then Lauryn has used a lot of her education to work in social media, publishing, radio, journalism, and podcast producing. She enjoys writing articles about the community she lives in and topics that are important to her. Lauryn is a huge advocate for human rights and tends to write about women’s rights and BIPOC rights.
Her favorite part of her job is having conversations with new and interesting people. Many of the podcasts she has helped produced are centered around having and starting conversations.
Currently, she is living on Vancouver Island where she rides around on her kick scooter, rock climbs, and dreams of one day having her own tiny bee farm.
